Concours Owners Group – Domain name, website and forums.
The Concours Owners Group “COG” was formed in 1988 as a 501c(7) organization. In 1996 a group of COG members including Rick Hall launched and administered the COG website concours.org. The domain name was registered in COG’s name and the initial registration payment made by COG.
From its inception the concours.org website was the sole website for the group, content was rapidly added by COG members and administrators. In early 2001 a forum “ZG Fanatics” was added to the forum.concours.org sub domain, which enabled COG members and the public to post content to the greater Concours community.
Following the demand by COG members to provide online payment, registration and merchandise a new website was launched in March 2008. The new COG website was hosted on a new domain cog-online.org.
In March 2011 both parties retained legal representation, and an amicable understanding was reached that. Rick would setup a new ZG/GTR Fanatics forum on a new domain, and that COG would host COG’s website on its concours.org domain.
The Concours Owners Group appreciates and recognizes the hard work and dedication Rick has given to COG since joining COG in 1995, holding a number of Officer position including Concourier editor, Webmaster, and SW Area Director until his resignation in 2008.
